LEGOLAND® California, your day starts
at The Beginning, the main entrance plaza to the Park. Be sure
to check out the area. The Big Shop, an 8,000 square foot retail
facility, is jam-packed with the biggest selection of LEGO® merchandise
in the US, and we can ship packages for you anywhere in the
world.
The Market has
freshly baked muffins, croissants, brownies and cookies, along
with gourmet coffees, espresso, soda and juices.
You can't miss
the Welcoming Dinosaur - a bright red dinosaur standing nine
feet tall and 34 feet from his nose to the tip of
his tail, made completely from LEGO bricks.
EXPLORE Village
provides a whimsical setting where the younger guests will
find wonder
and adventure. Guests venture into the
wilds of Africa and see life-sized giraffes, zebras, lions, and
more - all made of LEGO® bricks. The Water Works is an interactive
water play area, where kids play with water, not in it, and younger
guests will have fun in Playtown.

All adults remember
longing to be BIG when they were kids. Fun Town at LEGOLAND® California
is the chance for youngsters to live out that dream in a scaled-down
town created just for
them.
Castle Hill
is the most themed area of the Park, creating an illusion of
a romantic time in history when Kings and Queens reigned supreme,
and knights rescued damsels in distress.
The central
focus is the castle, which houses The Dragon, a spirited, more
scenic experience than most coasters, showing the guests what
life was like in a castle in the days of damsels and dragons. Merlin
the Magician is the host on the fully animated ride that leads
down to a cave where a fire breathing dragon is guarding the crown
jewels. Guests are then whisked out of the castle away from a sinister
fate. Complete with turrets and towers, the castle serves as a
protectorate over a medieval village with a market, blacksmith,
stables and gardens.
The heart of
LEGOLAND® California is Miniland USA. A dedication
to the ultimate expression of the LEGO® art form, this replication
of five areas of the United States, all constructed with 20 million
LEGO bricks in 1:20 scale, can be seen from many places in the
Park.
A primary LEGO
showpiece, Miniland USA is a celebration of American achievements,
a canvas to illustrate the diversification of its
peoples and cultures, past and present. The models demonstrate
the heritage of the people, most of whom came from other countries.
Miniland USA
presents famous landmarks built entirely from LEGO elements.
Guests experience the wonders of Washington DC, New Orleans,
New York City and the California coastline - in miniature - right
down to the smallest detail. Also featured is an animated, interactive
New England Harbor scene.
